AUGUST and SEPTEMBER!!

It is hard to believe that is it nearly September already!  We seem to have had the summer that never happened, so maybe we will have a spectacular fall.

We are in full harvest mode with lots of fresh vegetables and fruits in our market. We have freestone peaches, grapes, plums to name a few and have sweet corn, colourful peppers, beans, eggplant, fresh garlic, kale and much, much more.

So come out and see what real food tastes and looks like straight from the fields.

September brings on more vegetables like brussels sprouts and squash and at the end of the month we start getting the farm ready for October with it's scarecrow characters, pumpkins, mazes and more. A very busy time of the year.

Our Thanksgiving turkeys can be ordered starting the beginning of September, they will range from 12 to 30 pounds.  It may seem early but time sure does fly when you are busy!

Check out our Social Media!

Don't forget to like us on Facebook and follow us an Instagram #roundthebendfarm to see what's happening on the farm.

Thanksgiving turkeys

Okay, it's time to think about your Thanksgiving turkey.  We are taking orders, the birds will range from 12 to 30 plus pounds.

How do we grow our birds? They are corn, grain, soybean fed.  No antibiotics, growth hormone or medicated feed.  We laugh every time we see the A & W ads--we have been doing what they are saying since the beginning!

They run around a curtain walled barn enjoying the sunshine and breezes while being protected from wily coyotes! And yes, they are happy turkeys.

Take a look at our Photo Gallery on what it takes for us to grow a pumpkin or some of flower arrangements.

For the kids, there are downloadable colouring images.

Farming is a lot of very hard, dirty and non-ending work but we still enjoy what we do and we love to share our experiences with others.
