Round the Bend Farm- a working family farm

Round the Bend Farm is a working family farm. We sell fresh, naturally grown turkeys, as well as seasonal fruits, vegetables and succulents. We have been in continuous operation since 1986. We cordially invite you to come visit us, in season, and bring the family.

August!

So it's almost August already.  Sad to say the days are getting shorter already, the nights are a little cooler. But, surprisingly enough the day time temperature is still around the 30 degree mark.  We have been having lots of warm sunny days, regular rain and everything is growing like crazy in the fields and greenhouses.

This has been a hot summer.  We are in full harvest mode with lots of fresh vegetables and fruits in our market and we still have lots coming ready.  We have lots of heritage tomatoes ripening, colourful peppers and eggplant, fresh garlic, kale, cabbage, turnips, celery, okra, tomatillo, cauliflower, broccoli,  carrots, beets, many lettuce varieties, and lots more.  Not to mention we have peaches, nectarines, blueberries, plums, strawberries, raspberries, apples and the list goes on.

When customers ask what we have, we like to say we grow everything from asparagus to zucchini :)

Come on by, check out the farm animals, play in the straw maze and stop and shop in our market.  Eat fresh today!

August Long Weekend

This coming Civic Holiday, we will be open Saturday August 4th 9 - 5 pm, closed on Sunday and closed Monday August 6th.  After 30 plus years of working 6 days a week and every holiday, we need a day off to reboot and get ready for the fall.

Peaches and Sweet Corn are here!

Take a look at our Photo Gallery on what it takes for us to grow a pumpkin or some of flower arrangements.

For the kids, there are downloadable colouring images.

Farming is a lot of very hard, dirty and non-ending work but we still enjoy what we do and we love to share our experiences with others.
