Round the Bend Farm is a working family farm. We sell fresh, naturally grown turkeys, as well as seasonal fruits, vegetables and flowers. We have been in continuous operation since 1986. We cordially invite you to come visit us, in season, and bring the family.
It is hard to believe that the Fall season is over! Our regular season is over and we have returned to our winter hours. The farm is closed to visitors; time to tidy up the yard, put away equipment, do field work and generally get the farm ready for winter.
As long as we are able to, we will be harvesting fresh vegetables from the fields and we are busy putting it into storage for the winter as well. What can you expect to find in our market? We will have cauliflower, broccoli, cabbages, potatoes, tomatoes, leeks, carrots, beets, lots of varieties of squash. We also have fresh eggs, honey, jams, pies and turkey products and Kawartha Dairy ice cream.
Happy New Year everyone! Another year, another season to look forward to. The seed catalogues are laid out and the time has come to plan another year. Decisions on what we will plant and where are being discussed based on what did well last season and what did not. Some varieties of seeds had a crop failure and aren't available, so time to try something new. We will still grow the familiar vegetables and fruits like cauliflower, broccoli, kale, tomatoes, eggplant and pumpkins-- but what will we try that's different. The days are already getting longer, so before you know it, it will be time to seed and plant again.

Farming is a lot of very hard, dirty and non-ending work but we still enjoy what we do and we love to share our experiences with others.
