Visit and see a farm and its right up close....
Round the Bend Farm is a working family farm. We sell fresh, naturally grown turkeys, as well as seasonal fruits, vegetables and flowers. We have been in continuous operation since 1986. We cordially invite you to come visit us and bring the family.
Well we are coming to the close of summer and the heat is on!! As much as we like the summer heat, we are looking forward to some cooler fall temperatures--it makes the heavy harvests a little easier. This weather does help the crops grow and ripen and make sure we have plenty of pumpkins, squash and gourds for the fall. August and September are growing and harvesting months on the farm.
The fields are bursting with colourful vegetables and fruits and we are in full harvest swing. Check out our on farm market for things like cauliflower, broccoli, cabbages, lettuce, beets, carrots, garlic, tomatoes, potatoes, onions.... and the list goes on!
We are preparing for the Fall by baling straw, bundling corn stalks and fixing the many scarecrows that decorate our yard. This Fall there will be a brand new straw maze and the corn maze will be cut and ready to roam. Busy, busy, busy on the farm.
Okay it may seem early but it's time to think about your Thanksgiving turkey. We are taking orders by the first of September, the birds will range from 12 to 30 plus pounds.
How do we grow our birds? They are corn, grain, soybean fed. No antibiotics, growth hormone or medicated feed. They run around a curtain walled barn enjoying the sunshine and breezes while being protected from wily coyotes! And yes, they are happy turkeys.
Round the Bend Farm is happy to introduce to your pet our raw, whole ground turkey dog food with no preservatives or additives like corn or wheat--just turkey.
A raw, natural, dog food is a healthy choice for your pet as it is easier to digest.
Frozen in 1 /12 pound packages, raw turkey dog food is easy to store and serve.
See the difference it makes with your pet!
For the kids, there are downloadable colouring images.
Farming is a lot of very hard, dirty and non-ending work but we still enjoy what we do and we love to share our experiences with others.
