Fall Produce and Activities

Come to our Market for Farm Fresh Vegetables, Fruit, Condiments and Flowers....

Fall Produce and Activities

As the summer winds down we begin to think about the Fall harvest of fruits, vegetables. The fun Fall activities begin the first Saturday in October, and end with Halloween.

Join us for Fall fun on our family farm.  Relax on a scenic wagon ride around the fields. Play in the straw maze and trek through the corn maze.  Feed and pet the friendly farm animals.  Check out the 100+ scarecrow characters around the yard and take a picture with your favourite.  Stop and shop in the market for the freshest vegetables and fruits, eggs, honey, jam, turkey products and all your decorating needs.  Have fun choosing from orange, pink, blue, tan, white, lumpy or smooth pumpkins, squash and gourds.  We have a Saturday BBQ and fries available when you are hungry as well.  Make lasting memories at the farm!

For some of the vegetables a hard frost, that comes around the middle of September, is needed to refine their flavour, for example, kale, brussel sprouts and even turnips taste better after a frost. Cauliflower, broccoli, cabbages, carrots potatoes and many more are harvested, even into November.

Pumpkins, squash and gourds need to be picked, but without a frost, the vines tangle your feet, scratch your arms and hide them.

Our favourite time of the year is Fall with it's bountiful harvest, beautiful colours and crisp, cool weather. Come out and enjoy.
