Round the Bend Farm- a working family farm

Round the Bend Farm is a working family farm. We sell fresh, naturally grown turkeys, as well as seasonal fruits, vegetables and succulents. We have been in continuous operation since 1986. We cordially invite you to come visit us, in season, and bring the family.

Winter Market Hours

Our regular season has ended and we are on winter hours.   The farm venue is closed, the animals and birds are tucked away in the barn.

Our farm market is open Friday afternoons from noon to 6 pm.  We have turkey products, eggs, honey, jams, oils, sauces and some vegetables, squash and apples.  As well we have decor that would make great Christmas presents :)

JANUARY 2019!

Happy New Year!

Another year, another season to look forward to.  The seed catalogues are out and the time has come to plan another season.  Decisions on what we will plant and where, are being discussed based on what did well last season and what did not.  Some varieties of seeds had a crop failure and so are not available and some just did not do well in our soil and location.  So time to try some new varieties.  We will still grow the familiar vegetables and fruits like cauliflower, broccoli, kale, tomatoes, bean eggplant pumpkins and squash and many more-- but maybe this year we will try some new things....

The days are already getting longer, the sun is getting stronger and the promise of snow is in the air.  Winter is upon us, and that means Spring will be next!

Take a look at our Photo Gallery on what it takes for us to grow a pumpkin.

For the kids, there are downloadable colouring images.

Farming is a lot of very hard, dirty and non-ending work but we still enjoy what we do and we love to share our experiences with others.
